Certified vs. Not Certified Emeralds

Emeralds sold by American Emeralds are categorized as either:

• Certified: These emeralds have been independently examined and authenticated by a reputable third-party gemological laboratory. Certification includes detailed documentation verifying the gemstone's origin, treatment status, and quality.
• Not Certified: These emeralds are still 100% authentic but do not come with third-party documentation. We offer these at a lower price point to make fine emeralds more accessible to our customers.

Optional Certification Service

If you'd like to request certification for a "Not Certified" emerald, we are happy to assist. Please note:

Certification is conducted by an independent third-party lab.
• An additional service fee applies, which is the responsibility of the buyer.
• The certification process may take additional time before shipment.
